  • Many homes, Farmhouses and barns hold the potential to become generators of valuable electricity.
    An ideal roofs faces between south-east and south-west with a slope of 15 to 45 degrees and is un-shaded by trees or buildings between 9 AM and 4 PM. The roofing material should be in excellent condition.
    If your roof does not meet these criteria don’t despair! We can suggest products that reduce the impact of shading like Enphase micro inverters and Tigo maximisers.
    Before you make your decision to go or not go, we’ll provide you with reliable financial data on which to make your decision.

COMMERCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL BUILDINGS

Flat Roofs

Warehouses and other commercial and institutional buildings hold huge potential to harness solar energy and contribute significant income to your enterprise.
While the approval process required for larger (FIT) systems is more onerous than for residential (microFIT) systems, it is possible to pass through the regulatory hoops within about 6 months.
Our staff includes Professional Engineers capable to carrying out preliminary site assessments before development costs are incurred.
Our CA partner will provide preliminary costs and cash flow analysis on which the customer can make an early decision whether to proceed with a FIT application. Once the decision to proceed has been made, Down-To-Earth Solar will handle all the necessary paperwork.
Once a decision to proceed has been made, a deposit is required to cover registration fees charged by OPA, structural and electrical engineers reports and system design.
FIT projects are generally over 100 kW up to a maximum of 500 kW and require roof space of approximately 200 sq ft per kW.
As an independent installer, Down-To-Earth Solar has the distinct advantage of being free to maximize your profit by selecting the most appropriate suppliers of solar modules, inverters and balance of system for the specific roof.
